About This Role
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to help create clear, accurate documentation across a range of projects. This is a fully remote position perfect for someone starting their writing career or transitioning into technical writing.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
• Interview subject matter experts to gather information about products, processes, and technical details
• Research industry materials and documentation to understand technologies and methods
• Observe operations and activities to understand how systems work and document procedures
• Assist in preparing documents for publication and presentation
• Review technical developments and determine whether existing materials need updates or if new documentation is required
• Work from source material and outlines to create polished, well-organized technical documents
• Format, structure, and organize raw documents to improve clarity and flow
• Create a variety of documents including newsletters, reports, white papers, presentations, and business materials
• Share editing feedback with team members and stakeholders
• Collaborate with other writers and editors to maintain quality and consistency
Skills/background needed
• Degree or diploma in Business Writing, Journalism, Communications, or Science (or equivalent experience)
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly
• Organized, detail-oriented approach to work
• Curious mindset and willingness to learn new topics quickly
• Comfortable working collaboratively with teams
• Flexible and adaptable to different writing styles and document types
• Experience with technical documents is helpful but not required
