Technical Writer – Manufacturing Documentation (Entry Level)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our manufacturing documentation team. In this role, you will create, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation including Standard Operating Procedures, batch records, and technical reports. You will help bridge the gap between complex technical data and regulatory requirements, ensuring all documentation meets industry compliance standards.

What You’ll Do:

Documentation Writing and Maintenance:

Draft, edit, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and technical documentation. Review and update documents regularly to reflect process improvements and ensure ongoing compliance. Identify gaps in current documentation and help close them through clear, accurate writing.

Technical Document Organization:

Organize and manage technical documents in a systematic, accessible way. Ensure all relevant teams can easily locate the documents they need while maintaining security and confidentiality. Keep documentation current and compliant with industry standards.

Equipment and Process Support:

Assist with documenting equipment specifications, locations, and maintenance schedules. Support the team in tracking equipment status and scheduling regular maintenance. Help document any process deviations and collaborate with team members to resolve them.

Change Documentation:

Assist in drafting documentation related to process changes and updates. Track the status of change requests and help keep relevant stakeholders informed of developments.

Skills/Background Needed:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, medical, technical, or communications field. Prior experience with technical writing, Standard Operating Procedures, or manufacturing documentation is helpful but not required—full training will be provided. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and ability to write clearly and accurately. Familiarity with manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments is a plus but not essential.
