Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our manufacturing operations team. You will support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation required for pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role is essential to ensuring clear, accurate, and compliant documentation across all manufacturing processes. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to prepare scientifically sound documents that meet current regulatory and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain detailed manufacturing and packaging batch records
• Author standard operating procedures for manufacturing operations
• Write protocols and reports for scientific experiments, engineering studies, and process validations
• Collect and analyze data from scientific experiments and batches using statistical tools
• Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
• Create and manage documentation in shared systems for manufacturing operations
• Organise and manage technical documents in designated repositories
• Train staff on batch records, protocols, and standard operating procedures as needed
• Initiate and coordinate quality management system records and documentation
• Work with cross-functional departments to ensure timely approval and closure of quality records
• Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in technical writing, laboratory work, or documentation within a life science or pharmaceutical environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar and proofreading abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Familiarity with quality management systems and electronic documentation platforms
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and planning skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working as part of a team in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Adaptable and responsive to changes in work duties and requirements
• Proficient in personal computer skills including email, database activity, word processing, and spreadsheets
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full time, permanent
Location: On-site manufacturing facility position
