About the role:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product Content team. You’ll create written and multimedia technical content that helps customers understand and use our products effectively. Working closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and user researchers, you’ll develop documentation, tutorials, learning guides, and best practices that support customer success and drive product adoption.
This role focuses on emerging platform development experiences and tooling. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to create the educational resources and implementation guidance customers need to build, customize, and deploy solutions successfully.
What you’ll do:
• Partner with product managers, engineers, designers, and developer experience teams to create guidance, tutorials, learning paths, and best practices that help customers progress from getting started to production deployment
• Gain hands-on experience with the tools, workflows, and technologies used by the audiences you support, building applications and prototypes to understand customer challenges
• Explore and experiment with modern web technologies to develop a practical understanding of the development experience and create clearer, more effective content
• Translate complex technical concepts, code samples, and platform capabilities into approachable, actionable guidance for developers, administrators, and solution builders
• Identify content gaps, test new approaches, and continuously improve the customer learning journey
• Work with engineering and product management to plan, create, and maintain user-focused technical documentation for multiple product features
• Contribute to the evolution of content development processes, structured authoring practices, and writing standards
• Develop strong understanding of the product ecosystem and expert knowledge of the specific product area you support
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, technical communication, English, journalism, or rhetoric; or equivalent combination of education and experience in related fields
• Understanding of content development life cycles and processes
• 4+ years of work experience in technical communication (preferred)
• Samples of prior technical writing work demonstrating your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly (preferred)
• Experience with structured authoring frameworks such as DITA or XML-based systems (preferred)
• Experience independently planning, creating, and delivering documentation in a fast-paced, globally distributed software development environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with modern web development concepts and technologies, including JavaScript, APIs, web components, HTML, and CSS (preferred)
• Ability to read, understand, and explain code samples and technical designs (preferred)
• Curiosity to explore unfamiliar technologies through hands-on experimentation (preferred)
