We’re looking for an enthusiastic Writing Tutor to help students develop their writing skills through one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions. This is a part-time, entry-level role perfect for someone passionate about education and supporting learners.
About the role:
You’ll work with students from diverse backgrounds, providing writing support both in-person and virtually. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions following established guidelines
• Complete session summaries and progress reports for each student
• Collaborate with instructors when needed to support student success
• Attend team meetings and professional development sessions
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment where all students feel supported
• Identify the root cause of student concerns and work toward practical solutions
• Manage scheduling and administrative tasks using provided systems
What we’re looking for:
You don’t need extensive experience to succeed in this role. We’re looking for someone with:
• An Associate Degree (or equivalent)
• Some experience working with adult learners or diverse groups (preferred but not required)
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• A genuine desire to help students succeed
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Comfort using basic technology for virtual tutoring and administrative work
