About this role
We’re looking for an entry-level Social Media Content Creator to join our growing team. You’ll manage and grow our social media presence across multiple digital platforms, creating engaging content that tells our story and connects with our audience. This is a fully remote position where you’ll work from home, developing content, capturing photography and video, and collaborating with our marketing and communications team to support our mission and initiatives.
What you’ll do
• Manage social media channels including content planning, scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and audience engagement
• Create and execute social media campaigns to increase audience engagement and reach
• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar in coordination with the marketing and communications team
• Plan and coordinate opportunities to capture photography and video content
• Capture high-quality photography and video content using digital cameras and smartphones
• Edit and produce engaging photo and video content, including short-form videos, interviews, event recaps, and behind-the-scenes content
• Collaborate with team members, staff, and partners to identify stories and ensure content aligns with our brand voice and messaging
• Monitor social media trends, performance, and engagement metrics to recommend content strategy improvements
• Organize, maintain, and archive digital media assets for future use
• Provide social media and photography support for events, campaigns, and other organizational activities (occasional travel may be required)
Skills and experience you’ll need
• Associate degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrated experience managing or creating content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
• Working knowledge of photography and videography principles and the ability to capture quality content using digital cameras and smartphones
• Experience editing photography and video using professional editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, or Photoshop, or comparable tools)
• Ability to create engaging short-form and platform-specific digital content with proper formatting and captions
• Basic knowledge of audio recording and editing techniques
• Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills with attention to detail and brand consistency
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a collaborative environment
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and digital audience metrics
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work in outdoor environments to capture content
