We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Proposal Writer to manage and coordinate proposal development from start to finish. You’ll be responsible for developing proposals, responding to requests for proposals, and coordinating their presentation to clients. This is a fully remote role with flexible scheduling.
You’ll provide guidance on proposal writing best practices to team members, including brainstorming content strategies, developing text, delegating tasks, editing submissions, and managing all aspects of the proposal process.
Responsibilities
Strategize with internal teams to develop strong proposals
Plan proposal development activities and manage the overall preparation process
Develop guidelines and processes for proposal inputs, working with leadership
Conduct regular proposal status meetings to track progress across all sections
Lead strategy sessions to align proposal approaches and themes throughout all sections
Prepare status reports and briefings for management at all proposal stages
Direct and participate in writing, editing, and rewriting efforts as needed
Lead internal retrospective meetings to identify lessons learned and improve future proposals
Oversee proposal document libraries and organizational systems
Skills/background needed
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, English, Communications, or a related field
Experience developing proposals and managing proposal projects
Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, persuasive manner
Strong ability to analyze requirements and synthesize information to support proposal development
Experience managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams
Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Professional interaction skills across all levels, including leadership and subject matter experts
Preferred skills and experience
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Professional certifications in project or proposal management
Experience with commercial proposals
