Live Chat Support Specialist (Part Time) – Entry Level

Roles: You’ll provide friendly, courteous support to students and community members through phone, chat, text, and email. You’ll help with inquiries across student services including admissions, financial aid, course registration, and account support. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service and guiding people through their student journey from application through enrollment.

What You’ll Do:

• Respond promptly and patiently to student inquiries via phone, chat, text, and email

• Use student information systems and tools to access, verify, and update student records accurately

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound communications while maintaining quality service

• Assist prospective and admitted students with application questions and the enrollment process

• Help current students with course selection, registration, financial aid, and account updates

• Answer questions about financial aid, federal and state funding, and payment options

• Troubleshoot common student account and system issues

• Schedule appointments with advisors when needed and route questions appropriately

• Document interactions and maintain accurate records of all student inquiries

• Escalate complex issues to the right team members for fast resolution

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support student success

• Participate in training and professional development

Skills/Background Needed:

No prior call center experience required. We provide full training on all tools and systems. You’ll need:

• High School diploma or GED

• Friendly, courteous, and patient communication style

• Comfort learning and using multiple digital platforms and systems

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with high message volume

• Attention to detail when updating and verifying student information

• Reliability and a commitment to meeting service standards

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams) is a plus but not required

• Bilingual skills are valued but not necessary

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract Length: Ongoing part-time position
