About the role
You’ll be the voice of our brand across social platforms, engaging authentically with our community. We’re not looking for someone stiff or overly polished—we need someone who can communicate honestly, positively, and professionally. You’ll manage comments and discussions across multiple platforms, respond to audience questions, and help tell our story in a way that resonates with real people.
This role combines social media management with light PR and communications work. You’ll collaborate with our design and marketing teams to develop content strategies, conduct research on industry topics, and help build our brand presence online. Every day brings new conversations and the chance to make a real difference in how our audience understands what we do.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and discussions across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and other social platforms• Address audience feedback—positive, neutral, and negative—promptly and professionally• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to create engaging content• Develop messaging and content for industry-specific topics through research and material gathering• Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all communication channels• Build and nurture relationships with community members and key contacts• Research market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities• Support the development and implementation of communications campaigns that promote our organization and its work
Skills/background needed:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your tone for different audiences• Comfortable working across multiple social media platforms• Basic organizational and time management skills• Genuine interest in community engagement and online conversations• Ability to research topics independently and communicate findings clearly• A collaborative mindset and willingness to work with other teams• Diplomatic approach to handling feedback and resolving concerns• Enthusiasm for learning—this role has a learning curve, but we provide full training
