Roles: As a Social Media & Content Specialist, you’ll develop engaging content across multiple channels, support storytelling initiatives, coordinate creative assets, and help execute marketing campaigns. You’ll work closely with the content team to create clear, audience-focused materials that tell compelling stories through written content, social media, email, web, and visual formats.
What You’ll Do:
Content Development & Storytelling
Identify strong story angles and gather information to develop mission-driven content for target audiences. Write and create content for owned channels including websites, email, social media, print materials, and event collateral, following brand guidelines. Draft press releases, announcements, and talking points as needed. Help translate complex information into clear, engaging messaging that resonates with different audiences.
Creative Content & Campaign Support
Support the development and adaptation of content for multiple formats and channels. Help identify marketing needs across the organization and recommend content solutions. Respond to internal marketing requests, clarify needs, gather information, and complete assigned deliverables. Collaborate with the content team to develop creative campaigns and marketing materials.
Multimedia & Creative Asset Coordination
Identify opportunities to repurpose existing content across channels to extend the reach of stories and assets. Help coordinate photo and video shoots, including scheduling and logistics. Support multimedia content planning by identifying ways to turn stories and events into social media, web, email, and print-ready content. Organize and maintain a creative asset management system to ensure photos, videos, graphics, and brand assets are properly stored and accessible to teams. Collect assets from partners and internal teams as needed.
Design & Production Support
Provide graphic design assistance for social media graphics, presentation materials, event collateral, and digital assets. Prepare materials for design, print, and digital publication. Ensure content and visual materials are accurate, polished, brand-aligned, and appropriate for the intended audience. Coordinate project timelines, revisions, and asset delivery to keep work moving forward efficiently.
Skills/background needed: Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to create clear and compelling content for multiple audiences and channels. Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and details in a fast-paced environment. Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with layout and visual consistency. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools, content management systems, or digital asset management systems is a plus. You should be comfortable translating complex information into accessible, audience-centered messaging and have a collaborative approach to working with internal teams.
Experience required: No prior experience required. We provide full training and support to help you succeed. Ideally, you’ll have some background in marketing, communications, content creation, public relations, or journalism, but enthusiasm, strong writing skills, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent position
