Social Media Manager – Strategic Leadership (Remote)

Location: Remote – work from anywhere

Employment Type: Full time

Contract length: Permanent

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application

About the role

We’re looking for a strategic Social Media Manager to build and lead our social media strategy across all platforms. Your main focus will be developing a clear social strategy, raising the quality of our creative output, and ensuring our key moments reach the right audiences. You’ll own the strategic direction of our social presence while also being hands-on where it matters most.

What you’ll do

• Build and execute our social media strategy, focusing on fewer but more impactful moments rather than constant posting

• Decide which channels and messengers work best for each story – whether that’s the company account, team members, or partners – and create distribution plans around those decisions

• Coach team members and leaders on how to authentically share their work on social, with clear guidance and support

• Develop systems for managing community interactions and customer questions that come through social channels

• Work with designers, communications specialists, and other teams to deliver high-priority social content

• Track and measure what’s working through social insights, using data to improve strategy over time

What success looks like

• Your company has a clear, recognizable social voice and each platform has its own purpose and strategy

• Your social efforts directly support business visibility and growth – not just keeping the accounts active

• Team members trust and use social as a way to share their work, with the best posts receiving support and amplification

• Customer and community conversations on social are handled professionally and with genuine follow-through

• Your social strategy is backed by clear metrics and measurable outcomes

Skills/background needed

• 2+ years of experience leading social media strategy or marketing programs at growth-focused companies

• Proven ability to build a social strategy and the systems behind it – including planning, managing contractors, creating workflows, measuring results, and getting buy-in from leadership

• Strong editorial instincts and understanding of what feels authentic and works on different platforms, especially LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging community spaces

• Comfort with measuring both performance and brand impact, and ability to design tests that show real results

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

What we offer

• Flexible time-off policy

• Home office equipment allowance

• Health and wellness support

• Full training and onboarding to help you succeed from day one

• Supportive team environment with opportunities to grow your skills

• Potential to move into expanded roles as you develop in the position
