We are excited to hire a motivated and creative part-time Social Media and Content Specialist to support communications and outreach efforts. This role will help create social media content, film and edit videos, brainstorm creative ideas, assist with recording and gathering testimonials, and handle various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, tech-savvy, and passionate about storytelling and community engagement. What you’ll be doing:
Travel to programs, events, and community activities to capture photos and videos for social media, marketing, and promotional purposes. Create, edit, and assist with publishing engaging video content, including short-form videos and promotional clips. Design social media graphics and promotional materials to support programs, events, and campaigns. Assist in developing content calendars and recommendations for future social media posts and campaigns. Conduct interviews and gather testimonials from program participants, partners, and community members. Research free media opportunities, including local radio, newspapers, television, podcasts, and community publications. Assist in promoting programs, special events, and community initiatives through various media channels. Support communications, outreach efforts, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Skills/background needed:
No prior experience required. Full training will be provided. You should have strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to develop engaging content ideas. Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, or similar video editing tools is helpful but not essential. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for this role.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
