Social Media Coordinator – Sports Marketing (Entry Level)

About this role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator to help identify, plan, and execute social media campaigns focused on sports partnerships and athlete collaborations. You’ll work with sports partners, athletes, and content creators to develop engaging social content that reaches a wide audience. This is a great entry-level opportunity to learn sports marketing strategy while building your skills in social media management and campaign coordination.

What you’ll be doing

• Research and identify potential social media collaboration partners within the sports industry to build a pipeline of partnership opportunities
• Support the day-to-day coordination of athlete partnership programs, including onboarding, communications, and content development
• Keep an eye on sports trends and audience behaviour to spot timely engagement opportunities
• Develop and coordinate sports-related social content that aligns with campaign goals and channel strategies
• Assist in communications with athletes, partners, and external stakeholders regarding content creation and campaign participation
• Work with internal and external creative teams to ensure sports marketing content is delivered accurately and on schedule
• Support planning and coordination of sports-related events and activations
• Contribute insights and ideas to help shape sports marketing strategy
• Handle other projects as needed

Skills/background needed

• No prior experience required—we provide full training
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok is helpful but not essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in sports, social media, and online communications
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to write short and long-form content
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A background in sports business, communications, advertising, or public relations is beneficial but not required.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full-time, permanent

Location: On-site position. Local candidates preferred.
