About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic entry-level social media assistant to help manage and grow our social media presence. You’ll work with our team to create engaging content, interact with our online community, and support the planning and execution of social media campaigns. This is a great opportunity to develop your social media skills in a supportive environment with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and maintain social media content across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn• Post announcements, news, events, photos, and opportunities to keep followers engaged and informed• Engage with followers by responding to comments, running polls, and highlighting community members• Design social media campaign ideas and graphics using Canva• Monitor and respond to direct messages and comments on social media accounts (with staff supervision)• Create weekly social media content calendars• Help maintain a consistent tone and style across all social media accounts• Conduct email and in-person interviews to highlight community members and partners• Track and report on social media performance and analytics• Support additional tasks as needed
Skills/background needed
• Enthusiasm for social media and online communities• Comfortable using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)• Basic design skills or willingness to learn tools like Canva• Strong written communication and attention to detail• Ability to work collaboratively with a team• No prior professional experience required – we provide full training
