Skills/background needed: No prior experience required. Full training provided. You’ll learn on the job and grow your social media expertise from day one.

What you’ll do:

• Create and schedule original social media posts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter
• Translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible content for different audience groups
• Plan content calendars that align with campaigns, events, seasonal topics, and organizational priorities
• Work with team members and subject-matter experts to identify content ideas and share their expertise with wider audiences
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages professionally, and engage with online communities
• Track performance using platform analytics and adjust your approach based on what’s working
• Prepare regular performance reports and insights for leadership
• Support urgent or time-sensitive messaging when needed
• Provide guidance and training to other team members managing social media accounts
• Coordinate content efforts with wider communications and marketing teams
• Ensure all content meets accessibility and inclusivity standards

About you:

You’re organised, detail-focused, and enjoy communicating with people. You’re comfortable learning new tools and platforms, and you have a genuine interest in connecting organisations with their communities. Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt your tone for different audiences are important. Experience with social media platforms (even personal use) and basic familiarity with tools like Canva, Google Docs, or scheduling apps is helpful, but we’ll train you in everything else.

Preferred experience:

• Experience managing social media accounts for any organisation, group, or project
• Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling tools
• Basic graphic design, photography, or video editing experience
• Understanding of branding, accessibility standards, and public communication best practices
• Experience in higher education, non-profit, agricultural, or public-sector environments

What we offer:

• Full training and support from day one – no prior social media management experience needed
• Opportunities to develop your skills in content creation, analytics, and digital strategy
• A collaborative, mission-focused team environment
• Stable, full-time employment with clear growth potential
• Standard office-based work schedule with flexibility where possible

Physical requirements:

Work is performed in a standard office environment. No heavy lifting or physical risk involved.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive workplace. If you need any accommodations to apply or interview, please let us know.
