Role: Junior Medical Writer
This is an entry-level position perfect for those taking their first step into medical communications. You won’t need prior industry experience—instead, we’re looking for someone with a strong educational background in science or research who is passionate about translating complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging written content.
You’ll learn from experienced team members through focused training and hands-on mentoring. You’ll work across multiple therapy areas and project types, including commercial materials, medical affairs content, and publication support. Success in this role means being curious, organized, and able to manage your time effectively while staying calm under pressure.
What You’ll Do Each Day:
Technical Writing:Working closely with senior team members, you’ll develop and draft scientific content including:
• Presentation slide decks• Digital materials and web content• Manuscripts and conference publications• Meeting materials and briefing documents
Your writing will be well-researched, accurate, and tailored to the intended audience. You’ll ensure all materials meet project requirements and quality standards, take ownership of visual presentations, welcome feedback, and incorporate edits carefully into future work.
Building Scientific Knowledge:You’ll develop expertise in specific therapy areas through independent reading and research. You’ll learn how the medical communications industry works, understand healthcare processes, and build familiarity with industry standards. You’ll ask questions regularly to deepen your knowledge and master internal quality control procedures.
Project Management:You’ll organize and prioritize work across multiple projects, contribute to team updates, solve problems proactively, and meet deadlines. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across different departments and communicate progress regularly to senior team members.
Skills/background needed: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science-related field (biology, chemistry, pharmacology, life sciences, or similar); writing experience through university coursework, research projects, or other activities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail; proactive and eager to learn; curious mindset with enthusiasm for developing scientific expertise
