About the Role:
We are hiring a Technical Writer to develop high-quality environmental and regulatory documents for restoration and remediation projects. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to create work plans, investigation reports, feasibility studies, and decision documents that meet strict regulatory and industry standards.
This is a fully remote position with flexibility to work from home. No prior experience in environmental writing is required—we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate who demonstrates strong writing fundamentals and a willingness to learn technical subject matter.
What You’ll Do:
• Write and edit technical documents from project briefs, regulatory requirements, and site information, developing clear, accurate deliverables with minimal templates
• Coordinate document development across technical teams, editors, and project managers to ensure consistency and on-time delivery
• Review and compile information from field data, historical reports, and databases to build project understanding and guide document strategy
• Provide detailed technical and editorial review of project documents to ensure quality, completeness, and accuracy
• Communicate technical findings clearly to project teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders
• Manage document schedules, incorporate feedback, and prepare final deliverables
• Support fieldwork coordination and documentation as needed
Skills/Background Needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Strong technical writing, organisation, and attention to detail
• Ability to understand and communicate technical data clearly
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with teams
• US citizen with the ability to pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally
Prior environmental writing experience is preferred but not essential—we welcome motivated writers with strong foundations who are eager to build expertise in this field.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
