If you’re passionate about publishing and want to develop your skills in editorial production, we’d love to meet you. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to learn the full publishing workflow, from manuscript to finished book, while working alongside experienced professionals who will support your growth.
You’ll work on a variety of publishing projects, coordinating with Editorial, Design, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and freelance partners to ensure every book meets high standards for quality and accuracy. This fully remote role offers hands-on experience in all aspects of editorial production while you develop the skills that lead to career advancement in publishing.
What you’ll do:
• Manage editorial production tasks for publishing projects from manuscript through final files
• Coordinate copyediting, proofreading, page review, corrections, and approvals
• Work with freelance editorial partners and vendors to maintain quality standards
• Support Advance Reader Copy production for marketing and sales initiatives
• Collaborate with Editorial, Design, Manufacturing, and other departments to resolve production challenges
• Perform quality assurance reviews before files are released
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and streamline processes
• Learn best practices in editorial production and publishing operations
• Contribute to team discussions and help develop scalable publishing workflows
What you bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree a plus)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and publishing workflows
• Willingness to develop expertise in editorial production
• A continuous improvement mindset
