We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our manufacturing team. You’ll work alongside engineers and colleagues to document manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and training materials. No prior manufacturing experience is required—we provide full training and support to help you succeed.
What You’ll Do
You’ll create clear, step-by-step instructional documents by working directly with engineers on the factory floor. Your tasks will include:
Taking detailed notes, photographs, and recordings to capture manufacturing processes and equipment details. Transforming your observations into Manufacturing Instructions, visual guides, training checklists, and maintenance instructions. Creating consistent documentation using provided templates. Working hands-on to photograph and document processes as they happen. Managing multiple documentation projects at different stages. Maintaining document version control and history.
As you grow in the role, you may have opportunities to mentor and manage a small team of writers, including interviewing new hires and supporting their development.
What You’ll Bring
Strong written communication skills with attention to spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Ability to translate spoken information into clear, written procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Excellent listening and observation skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. A willingness to learn on the job and ask questions. Photography experience is a bonus but not required.
Skills/background needed: Entry-level writing ability, Microsoft Office familiarity, strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment. No prior manufacturing or technical writing experience necessary. Full training provided.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
