Entry-Level Writer – Data Processing & Customer Coordination

About the role:

We’re looking for detail-oriented individuals to join our operations team in a documentation and customer support role. You’ll process shipping documentation, coordinate with customers and government agencies, and help ensure timely delivery of shipments. This is an excellent entry-level position with full training provided—no prior experience in logistics required.

What you’ll do:

• Receive, review and process shipping documentation and records through company systems
• Coordinate communication between customers, government agencies, and internal teams
• Arrange shipment releases and deliveries, ensuring accurate invoicing and compliance
• Manage customer inquiries and provide timely updates on shipment status
• Enter and update customer information in company databases
• Prepare correspondence, quotations and communications as needed
• Identify and resolve issues or irregularities in assigned transactions
• Monitor incoming freight and verify that required documents arrive on time
• Learn and master company systems through self-study and approved training courses
• Support other team members with additional duties as assigned

Skills/background needed:

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree preferred)
• Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using currency, weights, volumes and measurements
• Comfortable with computers and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, web-based applications and common software
• Strong typing and data entry skills with attention to accuracy
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
• Excellent communication skills—capable of interacting effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Professional customer service mindset: responsive, helpful and problem-solving focused
• Ability to comprehend and write basic business correspondence
• Comfortable coordinating communication across different teams and departments
• Detail-oriented and able to follow policies, procedures and regulations
• Willingness to learn and improve your skills through courses and self-study
• 1–3 years related experience preferred, but full training is provided
