About the Role:
We’re looking for an entry-level Technical Writer to create clear, accurate instructional documentation that helps users understand and operate products. You’ll research, write, and produce manuals, setup guides, and service instructions that support both customers and technical teams.
This is a fully remote position – you’ll work from home and collaborate with team members across different departments.
What You’ll Do:
• Write and produce instructional documentation including operations manuals, service instructions, and parts guides
• Translate technical requirements into clear, easy-to-follow instructions
• Work with team leads and product specialists (engineering, testing, legal, service) to review and refine documentation
• Manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines
• Collaborate with designers to create visual components for manuals
• Communicate with subject matter experts across engineering, product evaluation, service, legal, and marketing teams
Skills/background needed:
• 0–3 years of experience in instructional documentation, technical writing, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, English, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional writing experience)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts clearly
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow style guidelines
• Experience with XML, database publishing, or technical illustration software is a plus but not required
• Mechanical background and ability to read technical drawings is helpful but can be learned on the job
