Editorial Assistant – Writing Support (Entry Level)

Position Overview

You’ll work one-on-one with writers to help them improve their drafts through editing and revision. This is not about creating new content—it’s about helping writers refine what they’ve already written by pointing out what needs to change, explaining why, and showing them how to fix structural and grammatical issues. You’ll help writers develop clearer, more concise, and more professional work.

Work individually with writers, reviewing their assignments and identifying areas for improvement
Explain why changes are needed and how to recognise and correct errors
Cover grammar, structure, clarity, and overall writing quality
Be present at the editing centre when the coordinator is away
Attend scheduled support sessions to assist writers as needed
