Role Overview: We’re looking for an Entry Writer to join our imports team. You’ll prepare and process customs documentation for shipments, ensuring everything meets regulatory requirements. This is a great entry-level role if you’re interested in building a career in logistics and international shipping.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare, review, and file customs entries for air and ocean import shipments
Ensure all entries comply with government regulations and requirements
Work directly with customers to obtain necessary import documentation
Communicate with carriers, truckers, and overseas agents to coordinate shipment details
Maintain accurate records in our systems and databases
Provide timely updates to clients on entry status and resolve documentation issues
Assist with auditing entries and ensuring proper duty and tax payments
Support the team with special projects and customer requests as needed
Skills/Background Needed: High school diploma or equivalent. No prior experience required—we’ll provide full training to the right candidate. Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Experience with logistics software is a plus, but we’re happy to train you.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract Length: Full-time, permanent role
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (overtime may be required occasionally)
Location: On-site positions available. You must be able to commute to one of our office locations.
