Technical Writer – Documentation & Process Support (Entry Level)

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our team and support the development, editing, and maintenance of technical and operational documentation. You’ll work on materials covering infrastructure, asset management, networks, communications systems, and related operational processes.

What you’ll do:

• Develop, edit, format, and maintain technical documents including manuals, reports, procedures, and presentations
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established standards
• Work with engineers and technical teams to gather information and document processes and procedures
• Create operational documentation including startup and shutdown procedures, backup procedures, and system documentation
• Develop network diagrams, technical reference materials, and supporting documentation
• Attend meetings and briefings; prepare meeting minutes and action item summaries
• Review industry and vendor documentation to validate technical content
• Create document templates and style guides to improve consistency
• Manage document repositories and support version control processes
• Coordinate document reviews and approval workflows
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation quality and accessibility

Skills/background needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or a related field
• 3-5 years of professional technical writing, editing, or documentation experience
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides
• Strong understanding of document formatting, grammar, editing, and quality assurance
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and team collaboration tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple documents and priorities
• Experience supporting enterprise IT, network, or infrastructure environments is a plus
• Experience creating diagrams and process flow illustrations is a plus
