About the role:
We’re looking for a Proposal Writer to join our team. In this role, you’ll develop and write compelling proposal content for government and civilian sector clients. You’ll work with subject matter experts, solution architects, and business development teams to create clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal narratives.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Interview programme managers, subject matter experts, and solution architects to gather information for proposal content
• Write technical proposal sections including approach documents, management plans, and executive summaries
• Extract key win themes and differentiators to make proposals stand out
• Gather feedback from review teams and refine content to meet tight deadlines
• Collaborate with teams across different locations to collect and synthesize information
• Attend meetings to understand client needs and tailor messaging accordingly
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with colleagues across the organisation
Skills/background needed:
We welcome applications from people with or without previous proposal writing experience. You’ll need:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand technical information quickly
• Experience or knowledge in at least one technical area (data analytics, cybersecurity, engineering, operations, healthcare, or supply chain)
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Comfort working with remote and distributed teams
• A willingness to learn government sector proposal standards and best practices
Relevant certifications or previous proposal writing experience in government contracting are a plus, but not required.
