About the role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Technical Editor and Writer to join our team. You’ll work with engineers and subject matter experts to create clear, accurate technical documentation including procedure manuals, user guides, service manuals, and operational specifications.
Your day-to-day work will involve:
Gathering information from technical sources and collaborating with engineers and specialists to develop documentation. Interpreting technical data and writing, rewriting, or editing technical documents to communicate complex information clearly. Building subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, reviewing technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and reference materials. Identifying and resolving discrepancies within engineering drawings and specifications that may affect the documentation. Coordinating findings with team members and consulting with the engineering group as needed. Assisting in product reviews with customers and advising on proper use.
Skills/background needed:
Entry-level candidates are welcome. No prior technical writing experience is required. Full training will be provided. A background in military service, aircraft maintenance, product manufacturing, or technical writing is beneficial but not essential. Strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret engineering data, and clear written communication are important. We’re looking for someone curious, willing to learn, and able to work collaboratively with technical teams.
Location:
On-site positions available. This role involves travel approximately 10% of the time.
Contract length:
Full-time, permanent position.
