Role: Technical Writer – Procedure Documentation

Contract length: Full Time

Location: On-site position available.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to create clear, accurate documentation for operational procedures and systems. You’ll work with subject matter experts to develop new publications, revise existing materials, and ensure all documentation meets quality standards and style guidelines.

What you’ll do:

Create accurate, well-organized technical documentation including written text and graphics. Develop new publications from initial concept through final publication. Prepare revision packages to update materials between major cycles. Work with a writing team to ensure consistency across all publications. Participate in meetings that impact documentation outcomes. Conduct research and analysis to keep materials comprehensive and current. Maintain organized files, comment tracking, and reference lists. Communicate clearly with team members about recommended changes and documentation updates.

Skills/background needed:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with document management systems and SharePoint. Knowledge of standard formatting, grammar, style, and terminology. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Adaptability to changing procedures and standards.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 5 years of experience writing technical or procedural documentation for organizational use. Active security clearance required for this position.

Physical requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to work on-site at the workplace.
