We are seeking a Customs Entry Writer to help facilitate smooth customs clearance processes. This is a full-time, entry-level position. No prior experience is required—we provide full training to get you up to speed.
About the Role:
In this role, you will prepare and submit customs documentation in compliance with regulations and company procedures. You’ll classify imported goods, determine applicable duties and taxes, and communicate with clients, customs officials, and internal teams to resolve any issues. You’ll maintain accurate records, stay informed about regulatory changes, and provide guidance to clients on customs clearance processes. You’ll also collaborate across departments to ensure smooth logistics operations and follow up on entry release status.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit customs entries and documentation in compliance with regulations and procedures
• Classify imported goods and determine applicable customs duties and taxes
• Communicate effectively with clients, customs officials, and internal departments to resolve issues
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of customs entries
• Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and procedures
• Provide guidance and support to clients regarding customs clearance processes
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations
• Update and maintain customer-specific databases
• Communicate with various ports and officers to comply with entry regulations
• Follow up on entry release status
Skills/Background Needed:
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and PDF tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn customs regulations and import/export procedures (training provided)
