About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team supporting documentation and quality system activities at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. In this role, you will work on creating clear, accurate, and compliant documentation including reports, procedures, and work instructions. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams to gather technical information and translate it into documentation that meets industry standards.
This is an on-site position offering the chance to develop your technical writing skills in a regulated manufacturing environment with full training and support.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Author, revise, and finalize documentation including reports, corrective action packages, change controls, standard operating procedures, and work instructions
• Work with engineering teams to gather technical information and translate complex concepts into clear, compliant documentation
• Support investigation processes, root cause documentation, and corrective action packages
• Manage document workflows through quality management systems, including review, approval, and tracking processes
• Maintain documentation trackers using spreadsheet tools to monitor open items, approval queues, and closure timelines
• Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to prevent delays and support timely completion of documentation
• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards, version control requirements, and audit readiness
• Review technical content for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance
• Learn and apply site-specific procedures, processes, and documentation technologies as part of your training
Skills/Background Needed
• Experience writing technical documentation, procedures, or work instructions (entry-level candidates welcome)
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments (or willingness to learn)
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and general office tools
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, quality teams, and other colleagues in a collaborative environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Science, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
