About the role:

We’re looking for a Grant Writer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you’ll play a key part in securing funding that supports our mission and the communities we serve. You’ll work closely with leadership and program teams to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and build strong relationships with funders who share our values.

This is an on-site position where you’ll be based at the workplace and may travel to partner locations as needed.

What you’ll do:

Grant Research & Strategy

• Work with senior leadership to develop fundraising and grant development strategies

• Build relationships with internal teams to understand program priorities, funding needs, and community impact

• Identify and research potential funding sources that align with organizational goals

• Help prioritize and pursue grant opportunities that support our mission

Proposal Development & Funder Relations

• Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and supporting materials tailored to funder requirements

• Gather program data, financial information, and outcome reports for grant submissions

• Build and maintain positive relationships with foundations, corporations, and government funders

• Provide guidance to program teams on grant readiness and funding strategies

Compliance, Reporting & Grant Tracking

• Monitor awarded grants to ensure compliance with funding agreements and reporting requirements

• Maintain accurate records of grants, gifts, and donor activity in our CRM system

• Monitor funding trends and philanthropic best practices to inform strategy

• Prepare grant reports and regularly review funding activities with leadership

Skills/background needed:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills with strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of grant writing and nonprofit fundraising best practices

• Understanding of grant reporting requirements and compliance

• Experience working with multiple programs or locations is a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines professionally

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, donors, and stakeholders

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to partner locations
