About the role:
We’re looking for an entry-level writing tutor to help students improve their writing skills across all disciplines and levels. No prior tutoring experience is required—we provide full training and support to help you succeed from day one.
This is an on-site position based at a local academic support centre. You’ll work with students one-on-one, lead group sessions, and help with classroom workshops. Tutoring can take place in person, online, or in groups—giving you flexibility in how you support learners.
What you’ll be doing:
• Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students on all aspects of writing
• Lead writing workshops for classrooms and student organisations
• Participate in writing centre initiatives and projects
• Attend team meetings and professional development training
• Support other team members with administrative tasks
• Help supervise peer tutors as you gain experience
Skills/background needed:
We’re looking for someone with a strong grasp of writing fundamentals and a genuine interest in helping others improve their skills. You should be organised, patient, and able to communicate clearly. No prior tutoring or professional experience is required—enthusiasm and a willingness to learn matter most.

Hours: 20 hours per week
