Communications Writer – Entry Level, Full Time

Roles: Communications and marketing support for a mission-driven organization. You’ll create written and visual content, manage digital channels, coordinate campaigns, and support fundraising efforts.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full time, permanent

Location: Office-based with flexibility to work remotely for some tasks.

Skills/background needed: No prior experience required. We’re looking for someone with:

  • Basic social media familiarity
  • Project management and organizational ability
  • A valid driving license

Full training will be provided in all tools and processes. An associate degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

About the role:

This is a full-time position working closely with leadership to support the organization’s communications and fundraising goals. You’ll develop and manage a range of materials including newsletters, social media content, website updates, marketing campaigns, and event materials.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and editing newsletters, letters, and updates for supporters
  • Managing website content, including events, announcements, and photos
  • Developing marketing materials aligned with organizational branding
  • Coordinating digital content across social media and web channels
  • Supporting the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns
  • Creating presentation materials for meetings and pitches
  • Managing volunteer recruitment communications for key initiatives
  • Coordinating with team members and external contractors as needed
  • Attending team meetings, events, and occasional evening or weekend functions
