About the role
We’re looking for an entry-level Communications Writer to help coordinate and create written materials across our organization. You’ll work with our team to develop content for newsletters, websites, and social media. This is a great opportunity to build your writing and communication skills while working on real projects that reach both internal and external audiences.
No prior professional experience is necessary—we provide full training and mentorship. If you enjoy writing, organizing information, and working collaboratively with others, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
• Write and edit content for newsletters, websites, and communications materials
• Help manage social media accounts and develop posts
• Gather and organize information from colleagues and stakeholders
• Create written pieces to support organizational campaigns and initiatives
• Assist with event planning and related communications tasks
• Proofread and organize documents and correspondence
• Work with team members across the organization to complete projects
• Help maintain organizational records and budgets
• Answer emails and respond to requests in a timely manner
• Attend team meetings and training as required
Skills and background needed
• Strong writing and communication skills in English
• Ability to organize information and manage multiple tasks at once
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Google Docs and Google Sheets is helpful
• Basic understanding of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
• Attention to detail and the ability to proofread carefully
• Willingness to learn new tools and approaches
• Ability to work well with others and take direction from supervisors
• Professional communication style, both in writing and conversation
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree or relevant experience is preferred but not necessary for entry-level candidates.
