Job Summary

Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies.
Utilize innovative educational approaches and learning strategies to accommodate various learning styles and support students with different needs.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional modifications, and interdisciplinary projects.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming assessments through parent-teacher conferences and written reports.
Mentor students by providing guidance on academic challenges, personal development, and extracurricular activities such as sports coaching or library services.
Skills/background needed
Experience or demonstrated passion for teaching middle school students in classroom settings with a solid understanding of how young people develop and learn.
Knowledge of literacy education techniques and writing instruction.
Familiarity with educational technology and how to integrate it into teaching.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students from various cultural backgrounds.
Experience or training in classroom management and positive behavior support strategies.
Ability to adapt lessons based on individual learning styles while meeting educational standards and requirements.
