Role: Content Marketing Specialist
Contract length: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Local positions available. On-site role with estimated 15–20% travel for industry events and conferences.

About the Role
You will own the complete marketing function for a growing, purpose-driven organisation. This role covers content creation, website management, social media, email campaigns, event logistics, and lead generation across multiple audience segments. You will report directly to leadership and work alongside subject matter experts who provide the technical knowledge—your job is to turn that expertise into engaging, credible content and campaigns that resonate with your audience.
This is a hands-on position in a small, collaborative team. You will write articles, build landing pages, manage event logistics, and own the day-to-day running of our digital presence. The workload is built for a team, but it is achievable because you will use AI tools as your everyday partner—for drafting, research, repurposing content, and editing. AI handles the heavy lifting; you handle the judgment, accuracy, voice, and final decision on what gets published.
What You’ll Do
Content Creation and Thought Leadership
Write and publish long-form articles on a regular schedule, rotating across different audience segments and product areas. Produce guides, reports, and case studies by translating technical material into clear, credible writing. Write and send newsletters and support placement of articles in industry publications. Maintain a content calendar that serves all audience segments fairly rather than defaulting to the easiest topics.
AI-Assisted Workflows
Use AI tools as your default starting point for drafting, research, outlining, and repurposing content so that one person produces the output of a small team. Build and maintain prompt guides and workflows so that AI output sounds consistent with our brand voice. Verify everything—every fact, figure, and citation must be checked against a real source before publishing. Turn one piece of source material into many: an article into social posts, a webinar into a guide, a conversation into a case study. Test new tools honestly and share what works.
Website and Search
Manage the organisation’s website day to day: page updates, landing pages, and lead capture forms. Handle on-page search optimisation and track organic performance against traffic and lead goals. Monitor site analytics and report on visitor behaviour and content performance. Coordinate with outside developers when needed.
Social Media and LinkedIn
Run the company social media presence on a consistent schedule, rotating content by audience segment. Draft and schedule posts for company leadership. Plan, launch, and optimise paid social campaigns within budget. Track engagement and adjust based on results.
Email and Marketing Automation
Build and maintain segmented contact lists. Write and deploy multi-email nurture sequences tailored to different audience groups. Run event follow-up campaigns. Monitor email performance metrics including open rates and click rates.
Marketing Materials and Design
Create one-pagers, product overviews, and conference materials. Manage print production and promotional items. Produce or coordinate demo videos and explainer content using AI generation and editing tools. Maintain brand standards across all assets and manage the template library.
Events and Conferences
Own the annual conference calendar, including registration, booth logistics, sponsorships, and on-site setup. Run pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up to ensure events produce tracked leads. Coordinate speaking opportunities for leadership. Plan and host regular webinars from promotion through follow-up.
Planning and Measurement
Manage the marketing budget and report on spend. Track and report monthly on metrics that matter: leads by segment, pipeline contribution, and content performance. Recommend where to shift effort based on results. Manage outside vendors and freelancers as needed.
Skills and Background Needed
You should have hands-on experience in B2B marketing with direct responsibility for content, websites, and campaigns. Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot in real marketing work is essential—be prepared to walk through your actual workflow, including which tools you use, what tasks you apply them to, how you write prompts, and how you verify output.
Strong writing skills are crucial. You will be asked for writing samples, and your ability to recognise good writing, know what to cut, what to sharpen, and what to discard entirely is what we are hiring for. You should be someone who feels uncomfortable publishing information you have not personally verified.
Working knowledge of the following tools is needed: content management systems, email and marketing automation platforms, a team chat app, social media management, and design software such as Canva or Adobe products. You should have practical search optimisation and analytics experience, enough to plan content around real search intent and report honestly on results.
You will need event and conference experience, including the logistics that make events work. The ability to learn technical subjects quickly and write about them accurately is important. You will be self-directed, setting your own priorities and finishing work without constant oversight.
Finally, bring a positive, constructive attitude. Small teams run on energy. You will hit slow periods and campaigns that need adjustment mid-way. We want someone who stays solution-focused, brings ideas along with problems, and is good to be around.
Nice to Have

Experience building AI-assisted content workflows. Video production and editing skills. Graphic design ability. Experience building a marketing function from the ground up at a small organisation.
