We’re seeking Technical Writers to join our team in developing clear, comprehensive technical documentation for complex systems. You’ll write operating procedures, maintenance guides, troubleshooting materials, and preventive maintenance content that communicates technical information effectively to end-users.
What you’ll do:
• Write and develop technical manual content including operating procedures, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and preventive maintenance documentation
• Work with illustrative materials—selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to enhance clarity
• Conduct quality reviews of all materials before publication
• Create and publish content in electronic formats, including structured markup languages
• Collaborate with task leads, other writers, engineers, and instructors to develop and deliver technical manuals tailored to different audience levels
• Research and compile information from program documents and engineering sources to develop outlines that meet industry specifications and standards
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Skills/background needed:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
• Proactive, self-motivated approach to work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with structured markup languages (HTML, XML)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
• Experience with technical writing software or authoring tools is a plus
• Background in STEM, engineering, or technical fields is helpful but not required
Requirements:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Based at our workplace; local candidates preferred
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
