We are looking for a Content Writer to support our client’s internal communications needs. This is a contract position offering hands-on experience in professional writing across multiple formats and platforms.
About the role:
You’ll create written communications for staff members on technology updates, system improvements, and new features. You’ll work with internal teams to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and reaches the right audience at the right time.
What you’ll do:
• Write user-friendly communications about technology initiatives, system launches, updates, and changes
• Develop communication strategies for urgent IT incidents and alerts
• Create templates and standards for IT communications across teams
• Write on behalf of managers and executives to match their communication style and position
• Contribute to projects that improve how staff use internal systems
• Write support articles and user guides for business systems, published on internal platforms
• Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to system users
• Provide input on user experience and design standards for IT projects
• Create graphic design and basic HTML content for internal web and application initiatives
Skills/background needed:
No prior professional experience required. We’re looking for someone with strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical topics in simple terms. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and basic design tools is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided. You should be comfortable working with a team and taking feedback to improve your writing.
