About the role:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our growing team. You’ll develop and maintain detailed technical documentation that supports engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements. This role combines analytical problem-solving with clear writing — you’ll work with engineering data, drawings, and technical reports to create procedures that maintenance technicians can follow safely and accurately.
What you’ll do:
• Review and analyse source data including engineering drawings, test results, and technical specifications to understand how changes affect maintenance procedures
• Write clear, structured technical procedures and task documentation following industry standards
• Validate procedures on-site to confirm they work in real conditions
• Maintain and update documentation as designs evolve and standards change
• Research technical data and create comprehensive guides for technicians and operators
• Review incoming revisions and updates to ensure existing procedures remain correct
• Determine inspection intervals and task requirements based on technical analysis
• Work with graphics and illustrations to communicate complex technical information
• Ensure all documentation complies with applicable industry regulations and standards
Skills and background needed:
• Experience creating maintenance or airworthiness documentation for aircraft
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical data
• Familiarity with structured technical writing standards and practices
• Working knowledge of industry documentation formats and procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and document management systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with complex technical information
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
Preferred experience:
• Background in aircraft maintenance or engineering
• Experience with technical authoring software and controlled documentation environments
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards
• Hands-on maintenance experience or technical certifications
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical training
