About this role:
We’re looking for an entry-level Technical Writer to join our growing team. You’ll work on developing and maintaining complex technical documentation for aviation projects. This role combines analytical problem-solving with clear writing — you’ll need to understand engineering data deeply and translate it into procedures that maintenance technicians can follow reliably.
This is a hands-on position where you’ll work directly with engineers, regulatory requirements, and real-world validation. You’ll own documentation projects from start to finish, ensuring all content meets industry standards and regulatory compliance.
What you’ll do:
• Review and analyse engineering data including drawings, test reports, and technical specifications to understand how changes affect maintenance procedures
• Author technical procedures and documentation that follow industry structural standards
• Validate procedures on-site to confirm they are safe, accurate, and practical
• Maintain and update technical content as configurations and requirements change
• Develop maintenance supplements, task cards, and instruction materials
• Work with incoming revisions and updates from manufacturers to keep our documentation current
• Determine inspection intervals and task requirements based on technical analysis
• Decide when warnings, cautions, or graphics are needed to communicate critical information
• Ensure all documentation complies with aviation regulations and company standards
Skills/background needed:
• Strong written and analytical skills
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and engineering reports
• Familiarity with industry documentation standards (or willingness to learn)
• Comfortable working with structured writing tools and document management systems
• Attention to detail — documentation must be precise and error-free
• Problem-solving mindset — you’ll need to work through complex technical scenarios
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to different audiences
Nice to have:
• Prior experience in aviation, aerospace, or regulated industries
• Background in engineering or technical fields
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or content management systems
• Knowledge of aviation regulations or industry standards
