Roles: Service Writer
About the role:
We’re looking for a Service Writer to join our busy service department. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the workplace. You’ll be the link between our customers and our service team, helping customers understand their service needs and keeping everyone informed throughout the repair process.
In this role, you will:
Listen to customers and understand what service or repairs they need. Ask questions to get the full picture of any problems. Record all customer details and keep accurate records throughout the service process. Review warranty and service contract information with customers so they understand what’s covered. Create service estimates by calculating labour, parts, and supplies needed. Prepare repair orders with all necessary details and get customer approval. Serve as the main point of contact between customers and our technical team. Schedule appointments, monitor service progress, answer customer questions, and help resolve any concerns that arise. Keep detailed records of all work completed. Use our service management system to track and update all information.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Sunday and Monday off). 38–42 hours per week.
Work format: On-site position. No work-from-home option.
Skills/background needed: We welcome entry-level candidates. You’ll need a valid driver’s licence and at least one year of experience in service writing or a related field (or equivalent knowledge). Full training will be provided. We’ll cover the cost of professional certification within three months of your start date if you don’t already have it. You should have:
Good listening skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members, both in writing and verbally. The ability to stay calm and patient when dealing with customers, even in difficult situations. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Comfort with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet use, typing, and learning our service management system (full training provided). Basic maths skills to calculate estimates, discounts, and charges. The ability to read and understand service manuals and procedures. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Location: Local, on-site position. In-person attendance required.

Physical requirements: This role involves sitting, standing, walking, and bending. You’ll use your hands frequently and need to communicate clearly. You may occasionally lift items up to 30 pounds. Close vision is needed for reading documents and computer screens.
