Role: Customs Entry Writer
Location: Remote (with initial onsite training)
Contract length: Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a Customs Entry Writer for a fully remote role supporting import and export operations. You will play an important part in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and supporting smooth trade operations.
What you’ll be doing:
Customer Onboarding & Compliance
• Prepare and process customer onboarding documentation for import and export activities
• Ensure all paperwork aligns with company policies and agreements
• Verify and validate regulatory documentation to maintain compliance
Documentation & Data Management
• Review and validate shipping documents for accuracy and correct classification
• Maintain and update customer profiles in the system, ensuring consistency with regulations
• Track and manage compliance deadlines and administrative tasks
• Keep detailed records and calendars for important dates and customer information
Financial & Reporting
• Generate daily and monthly reports to support operational improvements
• Process invoices accurately with proper documentation
Skills/background needed:
• Experience with customs documentation and trade compliance processes
• Ability to work with tariff classifications and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to learn industry-specific software systems
