Service Writer – Automotive, Full Time, Entry Level

Roles: As a Service Writer, you’ll be the primary point of contact between customers and our technical team. You’ll greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their concerns about their vehicles, and document all maintenance and repair needs clearly and accurately. You’ll prepare repair estimates, review work orders for accuracy, explain charges to customers in plain language, and keep everyone informed throughout the repair process. This role combines customer service skills with basic administrative and technical writing tasks.

What you’ll do:

• Greet customers in a friendly and prompt manner

• Gather and accurately record customer and vehicle information

• Listen carefully to customer concerns and document them thoroughly

• Assess maintenance and repair needs based on vehicle age and mileage

• Prepare accurate repair estimates for customers

• Review work orders and invoices for accuracy before presenting to customers

• Explain all work performed and associated charges in clear, understandable language

• Close out work orders and invoices after customer review

• Coordinate with technicians to schedule diagnostics and repairs

• Keep customers and technicians informed of job status and timelines throughout the repair process

• Maintain the highest standard of customer service at all times

Skills/background needed: No prior automotive experience required. You’ll receive full training on all systems and processes. We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping customers. You should be comfortable learning new software systems and able to work efficiently in a team environment with both customers and technicians.

Contract length: Full time, permanent position

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
