Content Writer & Community Coordinator – Entry Level, Full Time

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our team as a Content Writer & Community Coordinator. This role supports both internal operations and external community engagement by assisting in the planning and execution of events, providing social media content support, and helping create a welcoming and organized environment for all programming. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a dynamic, client-centered environment. No prior experience is required—we provide full training.

Key Responsibilities:

Engagement & Outreach

• Assist with facility tours and support for prospective clients and referral sources with professionalism and warmth

• Maintain up-to-date community announcements on noticeboards and digital displays

• Support internal awareness of service options

Event Coordination

• Support the planning, setup, and execution of on-site and off-site events

• Assist with departmental events, community gatherings, and outreach activities

• Represent the organization at community events and provide staging support

• Maintain inventory of outreach materials and distribute as directed

Social Media & Content Creation

• Create organic, engaging social media content several times per week that highlights activities, staff engagement, and the overall environment

• Provide design support for presentations and informational materials using standard design tools

• Capture photos and videos during events

• Organize and deliver captured content for review and posting

• Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and privacy requirements

Skills/background needed: Enthusiasm for community engagement, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, basic familiarity with social media platforms and design tools (training provided), and flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends with prior notice. No prior marketing or events experience required.

Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to work in both office and on-site environments with frequent mobility. You may occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to approximately 25–40 pounds as part of event activities. You must be comfortable navigating stairs, walkways, and outdoor areas, and working extended hours during peak periods, which may include evenings and weekends. Regular use of standard office equipment and technology, including laptops and mobile devices, is required.

Contract length: Full Time, Permanent
