We’re looking for a creative Comedy Writer to join our team. If you have a natural sense of humor, love writing comedy, and know how to create content that grabs attention and makes people laugh, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Comedy Writer, you’ll be responsible for writing original comedy scripts every week for a variety of marketing campaigns. Your scripts will serve as the foundation for short-form video ads across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. You’ll collaborate closely with video editors and creative tools to bring your ideas to life and turn your comedy scripts into engaging video content.
We’re looking for someone who understands internet culture, social media trends, and modern online humor. You should be able to consistently generate fresh ideas, write compelling dialogue, and create scripts that entertain audiences while delivering a clear message.
Responsibilities
- Write original comedy scripts weekly for short-form video ads
- Brainstorm creative concepts and campaign ideas
- Create funny, engaging, and memorable scripts designed for social media platforms
- Work with video editors and creative tools to transform scripts into finished video content
- Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with campaign objectives
- Revise and improve scripts based on feedback and performance
- Stay current with social media trends, viral content, and evolving comedy styles
Skills/background needed:
No prior professional experience required. Full training will be provided. You should have:
- A natural sense of humor and passion for comedy writing
- Strong storytelling and dialogue-writing abilities
- Understanding of social media platforms and short-form content
- Ability to generate fresh, original, and funny ideas consistently
- Excellent written English and attention to detail
- Willingness to collaborate with creative teams and tools
- Interest in viral content and what makes audiences engage
Bonus points: Experience writing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts, or any background in advertising or branded content creation.
