We are seeking a Grant Writer to join our team. If you have a passion for helping others through fundraising and writing, this could be the opportunity for you.
About the role:
This is a full-time, in-person position where you will write and submit grant proposals, fundraising reports, and funding applications. You will work with internal teams to meet reporting requirements, communicate with funders and community partners, and help identify new funding opportunities. You will also manage special projects that support organisational objectives.
What you will do:
• Write and submit compelling grant proposals and fundraising reports on time
• Work with team members to understand programme goals and funding needs
• Communicate professionally with team members, funders, potential funders, and community partners
• Manage multiple grant proposals, projects, and tasks while meeting deadlines
• Evaluate processes for best practices
• Represent the organisation to a wide variety of audiences
Skills/background needed:
• Writing experience in healthcare, social services, development, or related fields (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Understanding of the grant writing process and knowledge of how to craft, construct, and submit effective grant applications
• Ability to plan, organise, and complete multiple proposals and reports while meeting deadlines
• Strong persuasive and effective writing skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, solve problems, and think critically
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, Social Services, Sociology, or a related field
Full training and support will be provided. No prior grant writing experience is required—we welcome beginners with strong writing skills and a commitment to the mission.
