We are looking for an Investigative Journalist to join our newsroom. In this role, you’ll dig deeper into stories, producing 2 to 3 pieces per week. You’ll work closely with the news director and take on a variety of responsibilities including reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, and developing contacts.
Roles: Reporting, shooting and editing news stories, story development, source building, and other newsroom duties as needed.
What we’re looking for:
Sharp news judgment and the ability to tell compelling visual stories. You should have excellent technical skills and the ability to work well independently. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required for this role. Experience with live reporting is a plus. You’ll need a minimum of 2-3 years of reporting experience.
Skills/background needed: Reporting experience, news judgment, technical proficiency with camera and editing equipment, ability to work independently, valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, ongoing.
