Grant Writer – Nonprofit Funding, Entry Level, Remote

We’re looking for an entry-level Grant Writer to join our team on a fully remote basis. You’ll help identify and develop grant proposals that secure funding for community health and social services programmes. No prior grant writing experience is required—we provide full training and support to help you succeed.

What You’ll Do

A. Grant Development & Writing
Research and identify funding opportunities from government agencies and foundations
Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and funding applications
Develop programme descriptions and project narratives
Work with team members to collect data, organize budgets, and gather supporting documents

B. Compliance & Alignment
Learn how funding programmes work and what they require
Ensure proposals meet funder guidelines and regulations
Track grant deadlines and reporting requirements
Maintain organized records of all submissions

C. Strategy & Relationships
Build relationships with funding partners and community organizations
Help leadership understand funding opportunities and growth potential
Maintain an organized pipeline of upcoming funding deadlines
Contribute ideas to strengthen the organization’s funding strategy

Skills/background needed: Strong written communication skills, ability to organize information clearly, basic research skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn. No prior experience necessary. We provide training in grant writing principles, funder requirements, and industry best practices.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full-time position
