Technical Writer – CAD Documentation, Full Time

Roles: You will create product manuals, instruction guides, and technical documentation that communicates complex information clearly. You’ll gather information from subject matter experts, develop procedure manuals and technical specifications, and create 2D and 3D technical drawings. You’ll proofread and simplify engineering documents, present complex information in plain language, participate in peer reviews, and help improve documentation processes and standards.

What you’ll do:

• Write and organize product manuals, how-to guides, and technical documentation
• Work with subject matter experts to gather and develop procedure manuals and technical specifications
• Create technical drawings using industry-standard CAD software
• Edit and simplify engineering-written technical documents for clarity
• Present technical information in clear, accessible language
• Review and provide feedback on documentation produced by colleagues
• Contribute to improving documentation processes, templates, and style guides
• Continuously develop your skills and knowledge in technical writing and CAD

Skills/background needed:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5-10 years of technical writing or documentation experience
• Excellent grammar, punctuation, and attention to detail
• Strong self-starter mindset with ability to work independently
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Experience with technical documentation software and content management systems
• Familiarity with graphic design and illustration tools
• Ability to evaluate content and suggest improvements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
