Position Summary

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to help develop, edit, and maintain training and reference documentation. You’ll work with subject matter experts and teams across the organisation to ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, and easy to understand. This is an on-site role where you’ll support the creation of training materials, manuals, procedures, and guides. You’ll also provide administrative support to management and operations teams as needed.

Primary Duties

• Provide technical writing support including editing, formatting, and graphic design of training and reference materials

• Work with teams across the organisation to ensure documents communicate processes and information clearly and accurately

• Develop, edit, and maintain training documentation with subject matter experts

• Help prepare approved drafts for publication and distribution

• Provide administrative support for management and operations functions

• Maintain accurate data across multiple databases and document management systems

• Work with AI-generated content to assist with documentation development and revision

• Handle classified material and perform document control functions in accordance with security requirements

• Prepare regular status reports summarising work completed and progress toward goals

About You

You’ll ideally have some background in technical writing, training documentation, policy development, or administrative support for government organisations. However, we welcome applicants with transferable skills and a willingness to learn. Experience with any of the following is a bonus: processing correspondence, preparing briefs for leadership, records management, information organisation, or office administration.

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Ability to work with document management systems and databases

• Intermediate skills with Adobe Acrobat

• Familiarity with AI software tools and ability to incorporate AI-generated content into written work

• Clear verbal and written communication skills

• Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities

• Valid state driver’s license

• Security clearance eligibility and ability to access a secure workplace
