Position Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Writer to develop, revise, and maintain procedures for chemical and industrial processes. You will translate complex technical requirements into clear, accurate, and compliant procedures that support safe and efficient operations in regulated environments. Full training will be provided – no prior experience in this specific field is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, revise, and maintain operating and maintenance procedures for chemical processes
• Convert technical requirements, engineering documents, diagrams, and regulatory standards into clear, user-friendly procedures
• Ensure procedures comply with relevant safety and regulatory requirements
• Conduct document reviews with subject matter experts, engineering teams, operations staff, and safety personnel
• Participate in procedure reviews and field validations to verify accuracy and usability
• Maintain document control and management within quality assurance programmes
• Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures for safety and operational efficiency
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Experience writing or revising technical procedures in a controlled documentation environment
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Understanding of process safety principles and operational risk management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document revisions
• Willingness to learn industry-specific regulations and compliance standards
Preferred qualifications:
• Prior experience with electronic document management systems
• Familiarity with quality assurance standards
• Background in chemical plant or industrial operations
Contract length: Permanent, full-time
